Japanese Mania collects only the information it needs to send you learning materials, deliver your purchases and reply to your messages. This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us process it and how you can control it.
Japanese Mania is run by Yumi, an independent Japanese teacher. This policy applies to japanese-mania.com, the Japanese Mania store on Payhip, and the emails we send.

Information we collect
- Your email address (and name, if you give it) when you download a free resource or buy a course or product from our Payhip store.
- Purchase details such as the product you bought, the price and the date. Payments are handled by PayPal or another payment provider through Payhip. We never see or store your full card or bank details.
- Messages you send us through our contact form or by email, including your name and email address.
- Website usage data such as the pages you visit, your browser type, device and approximate location, collected through cookies and analytics tools.
- Server log data such as your IP address, recorded automatically by our web host for security and maintenance.
How we use your information
- To deliver what you asked for: sending your free workbook download link, giving you access to courses you buy, and providing receipts.
- To send you emails: a short series of welcome emails with study tips after you download a free resource, plus occasional updates about new lessons and courses. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email.
- To reply to you when you contact us.
- To improve the website, for example by seeing which pages are most useful.
- To meet legal and accounting obligations, such as keeping purchase records.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
